      There are many different stitches you can do with plastic canvas.

What is plastic canvas you ask? It is like a piece of graph paper with the holes in the middle and made out of plastic that you make stitches on. It is relatively inexpensive to do and I even use regular yarn although there are many types made just for plastic canvas projects. If you do any type of needlework you probably already know many of the stitches. Some are continental stitch, lazy daisy stitch, french knot, etc.

     The hardest part to me is cutting out the pattern, you must use something to mark on the graph edges with to trace your pattern so that when you cut you know exactly what  not to touch.  All it takes is one wrong cut, and you must begin again. I find that a grease pencil is fantastic to use and you can get them at any place that sells artist supplies or office supplies.
